At our August Board meeting, the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts took a significant step. Recognizing how crucial national connection and leadership development are right now, the Board voted to offer a $1,000 subsidy, for up to 10 community members, to attend the upcoming JFNA General Assembly in Washington, D.C., November 8-10th.
This is an invitation to be in the room where the future takes shape.
For decades, the GA has been the premier gathering for North American Jewish leaders, philanthropists, innovators, and volunteers. It is where we step away from day-to-day local management and plug directly into the broader global Jewish story.
Walking through the doors means entering an ecosystem of more than 2,000 changemakers. You sit shoulder-to-shoulder with peers from major metropolitan hubs and small communities alike, all tackling the same core questions:
How do we secure our communities?
How do we deepen Jewish engagement?
How do we stand with Israel through its recovery?
The discourse is unmatched. The GA consistently draws consequential voices in politics, security, and spiritual life—from international figures and Israeli statesmen like President Isaac Herzog to diplomats, scholars like Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, and frontline heroes. While the plenaries offer high-level inspiration, the heart of the experience is its specialized learning tracks. You can curate a personal curriculum tailored to the Pioneer Valley: attend sessions on security infrastructure, pick up new frameworks for family engagement, or collaborate on best practices with national experts, then bring those toolkits straight back home.
No community thrives in isolation. When we send a robust delegation to Washington, we accomplish two vital things: we ensure our local voice is heard in national conversations shaping policy and resources, and we empower individual leaders with the networks and skills to invigorate our local fabric upon their return.
