JEWISH FEDERATION OF WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS

Security

AS ONE, we pledge to ensure the safety, security, and resiliency of Jewish communities worldwide.

In response to rising hate and violence targeting Jewish institutions, the Federation has launched a multi-year partnership with the Secure Community Network (SCN), the official security initiative for North America’s Jewish community. This collaboration enhances regional safety by integrating the Federation into SCN’s nationwide network, which implements comprehensive, “all threats, all hazards” security programs. Through SCN’s National Jewish Security Operations Command Center, the partnership provides direct access to best-practice resources, facility assessments, training, and incident response support, ensuring a safer, more resilient community.

About the Secure Community Network

The Secure Community Network® (SCN®) is the official safety and security organization of the North American Jewish community, working with over 50 national Jewish nonprofits, 146 Federations, and 300+ independent communities. As the Jewish community’s liaison to federal, state, and local law enforcement, SCN operates its 24/7 Jewish Security Operations Command Center™ (JSOCC™) to analyze threats and provide real-time intelligence. Led by experts in national security, law enforcement, and emergency management, SCN enhances safety through strategic planning, facility assessments, security training, and crisis response. Committed to resilience and collaboration, SCN empowers Jewish communities to live safely today and thrive for generations to come.
