Healing Trauma: Druze Communities in Israel & Resilience

Join Friends of Women of Vision for an intensive understanding of the Druze community and their unique role as a close-knit Arabic-speaking ethno-religious minority within Israeli society. Dr. Mary Mulla Abu-Yaman will share her research and work as a trauma therapist and social-impact leader supporting the psychological and other challenges faced by the Druze community historically and in current times, such as the devastating attack at Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights. She draws inspiration and strength from her role within the Women of Vision network in Israel/Palestine and the emphasis on intercultural hospitality, expressive arts, and compassion. There will be time for Q & A and dialogue within this powerful conversation.
