Liron Behar will present the story of Dror Israel, one of Israel’s largest and most diverse educational grassroots organizations, and the role its communities of young adults have played in responding to the challenges of October 7 and rebuilding Israeli society. Drawing on Dror Israel’s extensive educational and social initiatives, they will share how young adults living and working in Israel’s geographic and social periphery, particularly in border communities along both the Gaza and northern borders, have become a driving force for resilience, recovery, and community renewal.
Liron Behar leads groups of young adults living in kibbutzim near the Gaza border as part of Toreinu, a Dror Israel initiative launched after October 7 to bring young adults, ages 25–35, to live, lead, and help rebuild communities in Israel’s border regions.
