The Israel Desk of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts fosters a deep and enduring connection to Israel by promoting awareness and education about Israeli society, culture, and life today.
Our mission is to strengthen ties and commitment to the Jewish homeland across our community.
Each year, we coordinate meaningful programs with our Israel partnership region, Afula-Gilboa, creating opportunities for shared learning, cultural exchange, and lasting friendships.
Israel Emergency Campaign: Thank You for Your Unwavering Support
In the wake of unimaginable tragedy and urgent humanitarian need, our community—and the entire Jewish Federations of North America system—responded with extraordinary compassion and strength. Together, we raised an astounding $908 million through the Israel Emergency Campaign.
These funds have already helped provide lifesaving support to victims of terror, evacuees, frontline communities, first responders, trauma specialists, and partner organizations working around the clock in Israel.
Thanks to you, this unprecedented collective effort made a real and immediate impact when it mattered most.
The Israel Emergency Campaign is now officially closed. As the situation evolves, so does our mission. We are now shifting from crisis response to long-term recovery and resilience.
As One: Rebuilding Israel
Our work is far from over. The next chapter is focused on Rebuilding Israel—supporting healing, restoration, and renewal for families, communities, and institutions across the country. From our own communities, we reach across continents to Israel, where the October 7 attacks and subsequent war have left deep scars: communities devastated, families torn apart, and a sense of security shaken to its core. Yet even in the face of such profound loss, Israel’s strength and resilience continue to shine through.

- Restore livelihoods and rebuild shattered communities
- Empower individuals to reclaim their lives
- Ensure a vibrant future for the Jewish homeland

Your donation directly supports local agencies in Western Massachusetts and funds vital programs and operations within our Federation. It strengthens our Jewish summer camps and day schools, provides food for the hungry, offers comfort to the sick, and fosters a sense of community on college campuses.
