The Jewish Historical Society of Western Massachusetts is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to educational and cultural goals. It serves as a resource for researching Jewish life and activities in the region by collecting and archiving papers, photographs, tapes, ephemera, and other items of material culture, as well as recording oral histories and cultural events. The society also works to enhance Jewish cultural life in Western Massachusetts through exhibitions, trainings, outreach, and other educational programs.
